We were planning on blessing Zack today but Corey got sick so....The new date is May 4th. We hope that everyone will be able to make it!

I just wanted to say that my sister is the best! She is on Spring Break this week and she took the kids for a couple of nights which was great! They had picnics, bike rides, and a BBQ. She also spoils them rotten which is good for them every once in awhile. She also got to experience the chorus of coughing at night time but she did not complain one bit! She is going to make such a patient mom one day!! Thanks JOJO! Now go take a well deserved nap! Oh and by the way Dan I think you are great too, and that you are gonna be such a FUN dad one day! The kids just love you guys!

My Little Helpers

All the kids want to take turns holding the baby. They have all been sick with colds and I have made them wash their hands probably a million times since Zack has been born. Hopefully they will all get better since we have had pink eye, congestion, runny noses, and of course Zoey has her "runny ear" which is a nice green discharge out of the left ear. Even though she has had tubes twice it still does this and as of yesterday she has a ear infection in both ears! Oh the joy of sick kids. I can't wait until it is summertime and all this junk is gone! Anyways enough complaining... The kids are really good about holding the baby which is kind of nice since it lets me get a few things done around the house. Tessa is really good at getting Zack to calm down and take his pacifier, she is a natural little mommy.

My older kids are gone and what do I do....

So my wonderful mother in law took Todd, Tessa and Zoey to her house for a few days so I could "rest." So what do I do with my first day of rest.... Well, clean, pay bills, make phone calls, and like everyone told me I should squeeze in a nap which I did. I have called and checked on my kids a few times because my house is so quiet it is almost weird. Now I think I will try to upload some pics at the request of yes you know who ( Jen and Zoila). Lexi has assured me that it is sooo easy!

Baby Zack

I am new at this whole blogging thing but thanks to some persuading (Jen) I am finally giving it a shot. I will start with a post about our new addition to the family. Zack Olds Newbern was born on 2-23-08 at 1:33pm. He weighed 8 pounds 5 ounces and was 20 inches long. We are happy he is healthy and doing well. He was very jaundice and those of you that know the story about Zoey know how that would make me nervous but after seven days of heel sticks and the good ole' billi-blanket his billirubin has finally came down to 15 from 20. The kids are excited that he is here and Tessa is my big "helper." Thanks to everyone for the dinners and the phone calls to check on us.
