Dang Ear!

So Zoey got a tube in the left ear about 3 weeks ago for the third time. The doctor said it looked good after he put it in and he cleaned out all the green goop/pus. Plus no sign of the cholesteatoma that he thought might be there. So sounds wonderful, right? Well about a week ago guess what??? Oh yes, you guessed it more green pus! So I saw the doctor yesterday and he said to use half vinegar and half water and shoot it in her ear with a bulb syringe. We have done this before and it does help since vinegar is a natural antibiotic but it takes both Corey and I holding her down while she is screaming so loud the neighbors can hear, and we get the joy of doing this twice a day! Plus he tells me he thinks that it could possibly be her mastoid bone that is infected (which I thought all along) and it may be time for surgery since we have exhausted all out options. We have tried everything else because the surgery is very painful and they basically cut the ear from the back and peel it back to operate and most likely she will go deaf in that ear. And here is the kicker... it usually reoccurs!! GRRR! I get to go back in another two weeks so he can look in her ear for 30 seconds after driving an hour and waiting an hour! YEAH!
To make things more interesting Zoey woke up from her nap today and her hair was stuck to her face from the green goop and I happened to look in her ear to see how much was coming out and there it was.....her tube! It freakin fell out! So now what??? I am waiting for the good ole doctor to call me back. Of course he will take his sweet time as all doctors do!

Todd's new obsession is Army stuff! He loves little Army men and camo everything. These are some jammies I found at Wal-Mart and some crocs at Target. He is also having an Army birthday this year!

4th of July

On the 4th of July we had a great day! My parents came over and we watched a movie and had a BBQ! My parents brought over a pool and the kids just love it. Thanks for leaving it here for them!

Zoey's Ear Take Three!

Zoey had exploratory ear surgery yesterday to see why she has had an ear infection in her left ear for the last 20 months even though she has had 2 sets of tubes. Well they got in there and it turned out the tube was clogged with green goop and it was not the cholesteatoma(cyst) that they had thought. I am so happy it was not a cyst because they would have had to cut open the back of her ear to fix it and she would have went deaf in that ear. So he cleaned out her ear and put in tube #3. I really hope it works this time and she can be done with the ear problems.

Fun Day!

My mom and dad came over yesterday and hung out for the afternoon. My dad got out in the 113 degree heat and started to make me a garden!! It is awesome. My mom and the girls made homemade ice cream, then my parents took the 3 kids home with them for a couple of nights! WOOHOO! It is so strange to only have one baby here with me but I am going try to finish up some projects around the house and Corey and I are going to work on the garden some more tonite. Dad just loves little babies and by the look of it Zack likes him too!

A few looks at the garden so far.. We are going to add a cover and some stone around the outside to attempt to keep the kiddos out.

John Deere Family Pics

We got brave the other night and went and had some pictures taken by a friend of mine. Her name is Brittany and she is awesome! I highly recommend her to everyone. I got these John Deere shirts while we were on vacation in New Mexico and thought it would be so cute to take pictures in the corn fields that are around our house. Food Storage

I got my 72 hour kits done a few weeks ago so I thought I would post a pic of them! Now to stock up on more 3 month supply that we use on an everyday basis. I better hurry before everything gets way to expensive.. Also I found backpacks to put them in at Wal-mart for 9.88 a piece and they are pretty nice ones.
